Michael Marr  

Managing Partner and Founder

Mr. Marr is responsible for all operations and delivery of client solutions. As a technology leader in building highly scalable and transaction intensive solutions for Fortune 100 companies, Michael has positioned Castle Rock Innovations as the company that delivers. He has been quoted in national publications and frequently asked to participate in national conferences as an expert in the financial services technologies.

Prior to founding Castle Rock Innovations, Michael was a partner at SinglePoint Financial, Inc, architecting the company's flagship Life Goal Planner product and instrumental in assisting in the sale of the company. Earlier, Michael was a Development Director at Business Database Services, Inc., a technology-focused consulting company, where he was responsible for setting direction and standards in using new technologies and was industry expert in the field of high transactional computing. Frequently quoted in publications, he was a key member of standard bodies for transactional systems using J2EE.

Michael graduated Cum Laude from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor of Science in computer science.

Khash Sarrafi  

Managing Partner and Founder

Mr. Sarrafi is responsible for strategic direction for the company while building strong client relations and continued business growth. Combining technological innovation/sophistication, academic knowledge and achievement as a Fortune 50 corporate executive, he ensures that Castle Rock Innovations delivers solutions and value to growing and enterprise companies across a wide range of industries.

Prior to founding Castle Rock Innovations, Khash was Global Director of Information Technology at Timex, leading large scale implementation of Oracle ERP and Data Warehouse Solutions. Before joinging Timex, he was responsible for Global Data Warehouse and eBusiness for Carrier Corporation, a subsidiary of United Technologies. Prior to UTC, Khash served as CIO and VP of development for a technology-focused consulting company where he was instrumental in growing the company from small startup to a leading consulting services company specializing in Financial Services and Healthcare Technologies.

Khash has computer science and finance degrees from Central Connecticut State University and Executive MBA from University of Connecticut.

Thomas A. Loch  

Senior Vice President

Mr. Loch serves as Global Head of Wealth Management and Retirement Solutions. He is focused on developing and managing e-commerce related projects specializing in the development of technology solutions for large wire house money centered banks, insurance companies and firms specializing in retirement services. Tom directs projects providing Internet-focused strategy expertise, strategic marketing, research services, customer service and IT technology consulting. Being able to interface with client executives to define project requirements, he effectively translates business objectives into tactical plans.

Prior to joining Castle Rock Innovations, Tom founded Wealth Management Systems Inc., a successful technology consulting and engineering practice. Before starting that business, he served as President of SinglePoint Financial where he conceived the company's business plan and eventual sale. His earlier experience includes serving as CIO at Universal Pensions and VP Retirement Services at Preferred Benefits Company.

Paul Kellam  

Senior Vice President

Mr. Kellam's responsibilities include management, business development, partner relationships, project management, licensing, web technologies and open source solutions. With over 20 years of experience in the Insurance / Financial Services sector, he also serves as CRI's Insurance Practice Leader. Able to bring together technical knowledge and business acumen, Paul ensures that plans and solutions are aligned with our clients' objectives and long term best interest.

Prior to joining Castle Rock Innovations, Paul served as CIO of the Captive Solutions practice of Marsh & McLennan, a global business that managed over 1400 insurance and finance companies and vehicles. Before joining Marsh, he led a design and development team at Prudential Assurance and developed complex processing software at Johnson & Higgins.

Paul graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Mathematics in Applied Math & Computer Science, and later earned several industry designations including Master Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI/M) and Associate of Reinsurance (ARe).

John Kovacik 

Vice President, Solutions and Services

Mr. Kovacik is primarily focused on leading the research and development efforts of CRI and setting technical and process/technique direction for the company. He is responsible for working with practice heads and principal ranks to develop, maintain and distribute intellectual property throughout the company. John is an external evangelist for the company by writing and speaking regularly and often is referenced in many technical publications.

John brings a wealth of experience in software development in the financial services industry, and has also been instrumental in delivering best-of-breed applications for both the Insurance and Health Care industries. He is responsible for selecting strategic technology plan for clients by identifying, tracking and prototyping with new and potentially disruptive technologies, with the goal to project and assess technologies impact on the client and its customers.

Prior to joining Castle Rock Innovations, John worked in the Global Architecture division at Citadel Investment Group LLC, a multi-billion dollar hedge fund which specializes in creating internal cutting-edge financial technology solutions. Over the course of his 18-year career, he has been directly involved in all aspects of software development, quality assurance, and customer support.

Mr. Kovacik graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana. 

Matt Squadroni  

Director, Solutions Delivery

Mr. Squadroni is responsible for the design, management, and development of software applications and solutions developed by Castle Rock Innovations. He is also responsible for the implementation and development of emerging Microsoft technologies including, but not limited to, SharePoint and Commerce Server. Matthew also oversees the development and continued growth of the company’s developers. His experience in various business industries has aided in his adaptation into the Financial Services and Healthcare industries.

Prior to joining Castle Rock Innovations, Matthew worked in several different industries including manufacturing, retail, and insurance. Over the course of those four years he has developed in Microsoft .Net and Java platforms, specializing in both desktop and web application development. Matthew’s responsibilities included all phases of information technology from project planning and management to application development and deployment. Specifically within development Matt’s roles have included database management, quality assurance testing, Microsoft technology integration, and software development.

Matthew graduated with a dual Bachelor of Technology Degree in Computer Technology and Organizational Leadership & Supervision from the Purdue University.
